Is there a cost to hosting a public screening?
There is no cost to hosting your own public screening of
The Pilgrim’s Progress. However, a freewill offering is required.
These
contributions
are used to offset the cost of providing this opportunity and for the worldwide
distribution of the film to the mission field.
-
What if I cannot facilitate a freewill offering?
If your church or group will not let you collect an offering,
you can
contact us and explain your situation and we will
propose a reasonable
license fee for your event.
-
What is the offering used for?
The offering is used to cover the costs of the showings and to
expand the worldwide distribution of The Pilgrim’s Progress.
-
Is the offering tax-deductible?
Yes. Offerings are processed through RevelationMedia, a
501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. All contributions are fully tax deductible as
allowed by law.
-
Where should I send the offering?
Credit card offerings can be processed securely online using
the donate button on www.Pilgrims.Movie or checks can sent in using the
self-addressed business reply envelopes that were provided with your promotional
material or mailed to:
RevelationMedia
PO Box 518
McKinney, TX 75070
-
Is there a minimum offering expected?
No. We are a nonprofit missionary organization and fully
supported by the generous contributions from our fundraising efforts, including the
public showings of The Pilgrim’s Progress.
-
Is there a minimum amount of people that need to attend?
No. We encourage you to invite as many people as possible, but
there is no minimum attendance required to host a public showing.
-
How long is the movie?
The movie with credit roll is nearly 2 hours in length. We
encourage you to allow at least 2 hours to allow time for a short introduction and to
collect the offering after the showing.
-
What age is the movie appropriate for?
We encourage ages 8+. We also encourage the leaders of the
event to pre-screen the film to use their own discretion in inviting younger
children. There are scenes that include demons and a battle with Apollyon.
-
Does the movie have an MAAP rating?
Yes. The Pilgrim’s Progress is rated PG.
-
Can I host a screening outside the USA?
Most likely yes. There are some countries where we are
in negotiations for distribution and/or we have another organization
handling the distribution. When you fill out the screening application, you
will be notified if your country and language of choice is available through
RevelationMedia. If it is not, simply
contact us and we will
put you in the
right direction and/or advise when your desired country and language will be
available. In time, every country will be available for public viewings.
Most countries are available now.
-
Can I use the movie to raise funds for another purpose?
Most likely no. The purpose of the public showings
and required offering is to enable us to promote free ministry showings
of the film. Even though ministry use is free, we often have expenses in
translation, dubbing, formatting and final distribution. The public
screenings, where offerings are taken, allow us to continue this work.
If you have a situation where you would like to use the film to raise
money for another purpose (in whole or in part) please
contact
us and
share more about your unique situation.
-
Will you provide me with promotional material?
Yes. We will send church bulletins, donations
slips, and free gift cards to redeem
The Pilgrim’s Progress online,
interactive book “iBook.” We will also provide links to digital
resources to help you promote the film. If you have specific needs
for promotional material outside of these, please
contact us.
-
Do you have different languages available?
Yes. We are in constant production of new
languages and the current (and upcoming) languages are listed on
the application form. It is our goal to be in production of 100
languages in the next 3-5 years.
-
What if I cannot get the download link to work or do not
have
a good internet connection?
We will send a DVD (in Blu-ray and
standard definition) as a backup to the downloadable viewing
link. Please do not use these DVDs for any purpose outside
the viewing you have been approved for.
-
What if we want to host multiple events? Do we have to
apply each time?
We strongly encourage our partners
to host multiple public screenings of The Pilgrim’s Progress,
using the film to encourage followers of
Christ, evangelize the lost, and help to support the
worldwide distribution of the film. We do recommend
filling out a new online form for each of these events.
However, if you are able to host three or four (or even
more) events per year, you may wish to apply to join our
Pilgrim’s Volunteer program. If you would like to become
a Pilgrim’s Volunteer, please apply here.
The Pilgrim’s Volunteer program is now in development. If you would like to become a
